don't do anything for 4-6 wks except testing for ammonia, nitrite, and nitrates once a week.

I just put my shrimp in. Is it common for the water to have an odor at this stage?

What i mean is i filled the tank and the lady unplugged the pumps so it was stagnant for like 12 hrs. Thats just fine right? I put the shrimp in when i got it pumping again
