So 5 days of dr Tim’s one and only, added pair of clowns on the 5th. Now on day 8, Red Sea reefer 350. A pinch of flake a day feeding seems to be enough. For them. Also have a seachem ammonia checker showing safe. Am I going slowly enough. A bit of blue light at feeding, colour 5 (Kessil 160s) and otherwise just natural light. Temp 77f, 35ppt salinity. Checking daily. Being asked when to add critters but assume nothing for them to eat at moment? Continue as is?

Dr. Tim's works out of the bottle just fine, your fish aren't harmed. per Dr. Reef's thread, your cycle began as suspended bacteria in the water via the dosed agent, the fish waste was easily handled, and by day ten the bacteria have adhered to surfaces such that a 100% water change would not undo the cycle. You are done cycling, testing for it...you're into reefing now and fish disease prep choices. that's a bottle bac skip cycle you successfully did.

add in the items you want as an initial reefing bioload, and adjust your feed to them as they need it.

Thanks, still resting and results the same. All seems stable for now. Both clowns appear happy. Again should I start to consider cuc in readiness for algae? Finally this is the 3rd week coming up since tank started. Should I consider a 10% water change this weekend or wait until nitrates start to rise?
