The Foxface passed away this morning

He got a secondary bacterial infection and just couldn't fight it off. On a happier note I ordered 4 macroalgaes, pods, 2 kinds of snails, wondermud and live sand activator with worms from Indo-Pacific Farms. They should be here on Saturday.

Really sorry to hear about the foxface.

I think you will be happy with your order from Indio Pacific. I think the sand and mud really add to the diversity of bacteria and micro-organisms in the system. Sometimes the stuff you can't see is the most important to establishing stability.

I agree with this fully! Thank you Ento-reefer for pointing me in the direction of Indo-pacific farms. They offered exactly what I was looking for

Received my order from indo-pacific farms. I couldn't be happier! Everything alive and happy. And they threw in a free ultra green toadstool leather. My favorites are the macro algae especially the Tang red and the microhermits that came in the livesand activator. Tomorrow is moving day for the rock and fish in the nano.

Big update! Got everything moved from the 37g to the 180g yesterday. My husband and I finally (hopefully) settled on an aquascape today. We ran out of coral glue so still have some temporarily placed. Actually kind of surprised we used up a lot of real estate already, lol.

My husband was playing around with the Aquarium Cam app. He was able to get some really nice true to color pics. I love all the coral colors under these orphek lights. Big difference from our other light. The colors really pop without being extremely blue. Looks much more natural.

Took a gamble and added a blue throat trigger to DT that I have had in QT for 2 weeks (Was at LFS for over a month). Trigger has been freshwater and hydroplex dipped before adding. Again I know this was taking a big risk but this allows us to move the zebra dartfish to the 10g QT (and out of copper) and breakdown the 20g QT yet again. Once 2og up and running again we will select next fish for 180g and probably a pair of clowns for the the 37g. We may put the clowns directly into the 37g depending where we get them from. There are only kenyi trees in there right now and I don't mind risking those. We will QT new fish for 180g for minimum 30 days. Hopefully we get some healthy fish soon!

We purchased a cabinet to house apex, power bricks and whatever else we want to keep in a dry environment.

Project of the week is turning this mess of wires into some semblance of organization and programming apex.

Good luck with the organizing!!! I am still not 100% satisfied with my solution, but it was an improvement over what I had. Please post some photos of the trigger.

Had that trigger in a previous tank, such a beautiful fish and well worth the risk IMO.

My husband has always wanted a trigger so we are willing to take the gamble. We have no high end corals right now so figured now is the time to try.

Got some new black and white clowns with orange faces and a rose bubble tip anemone for the 37g tank. We are going to keep it running as an anemone dominate tank (bubble tips and rock flowers) with kenyi trees and pulsing xenia mixed in. A few zoas and leptosteria got transferred in with the kenyi tree rock also.

This coming Saturday is our reef clubs annual frag swap. I can't wait to pick out some nice goodies for each of the tanks. Unfortunately my washing machine crapped out this weekend and my van is now leaking antifreeze so this has cut into my frag budget

Here is my new coral and fish

Sure put a dent in my coral and fish budget but we did pick up a copper band butterfly and a Goniopora for cheap. Our clubs frag swap is this weekend and will pick up much more than but will have to be a little more budget conscious.

Tank is definitely going through its "ugly" stage

Phosphates are 0.025 and nitrates around 50. Ca 480, Alk 7.7 (going to have to set up dosing because dropped from 8.3 in 3 days-- target about 8.6) Mg 1450. Because of all the projects that crept up this week have not gotten to programming or organizing the apex. Doubt will get to it this weekend either because I work and husband is volunteering at the frag swap.
