Cycling: Ammonia to Nitrites

I am doing a fishless cycle so I put a raw shrimp in my tank and reached around 3ppm then added Microbacter last night. How long should it take for the Nitrites to spike?

That is a hard question to give a definitive answer for. If you do not see nitrites in 48 hours post back please.
