I started with water in the Biocube on Monday and added Dr Tim’s one and only and added a small pinch of fritz ammonia. Here is what the tests look like tonight. Do I need to add more fritz ammonia to get this going.? I know I need to take my time but I also have two clowns fish on hold that I need to get in the next week or two. TIA

What size bio cube and are you using live or dry rock?

Who is holding your clowns? I would suggest contacting them and seeing if they can hold longer. If they can't, I would contact one of your local fish stores to hold the clowns- most will say yes. I'm not a fan of rushing a cycle and putting lives at risk. Not only do you risk the clowns, but you can cause problems down the line if the tank isn't ready for them.

I agree if it’s a dry start-but if it’s all live rock, there’s no need to add extra ammonia and “start” the cycle. Monitor the ammonia for a week and as long as it goes away in a day or two and doesn’t come back, I say add the fish.
Some newer people might not realize that you don’t have to cycle a tank if you use already live rock with bacteria. Personal opinion on the fish I suppose lol figured I would get the obvious out of the way

I tend closer to that method. since people start reef conventions all on time + thousands of fish, I want that same freedom for us too and legitimacy

we can make any reef cycle by any day you want

but can we get them ich/crypto free by then :) :)

what's the real risk/no quarantine vectoring.

we have a specific test that can show whether or not your tank can support life by a given date, no guessing required, simply a matter of run the oxidation test and see if it lowers from a higher ammonia dose overnite.

I have 25 pounds of Caribsea life rock and 20 pounds of Caribsea Live sand

I’d keep following the cycling rules. You’re gonna want at the very least 2 weeks. You might be ready in time.
