Cycling GFO reactor

I want to reduce GFO usage for a short period of time. Are there any issues associated with cycling a GFO reactor on for 10 mins and then off for 50 mins every hour?

That sounds fine. You just don't want to leave it off for days. The water would become stagnant

My concern is stagnation and production of hydrogen sulfide in any unaerated seawater sitting in a closed container. Will 50 minutes do it? Not sure.

Holy crap! I didn't know this was a thing..will not leave an offlined reactor in my sump again..jesus
