Cycling help please and thank you!

Day 21 of cycling, did ammonia and Dr Tim’s one and all bacteria. Ammonia definitely at 0 but slight nitrite still showing. Second pic is the comparison to my non used saltwater so you can see the difference. Am I okay to water change and add a couple clowns or will I kill them? Today is last day of sale at LFS so would like to take advantage if I can. Thanks I advance!

You should be good to go!

If you are ever worried, you can always add a small bottle of bacteria or what not as a little booster to your tank. Whenever I set up a tank, I will do exactly that.

But, 21 days cycling with adding a nitrifying bacterial source should be easily cycled. Don't worry about the nitrites in a marine tank. Do you have nitrates?

I would guess you are safe at this point to add a fish...

If you really want to be sure, add additional ammonia to 1-2ppm...if you clear that to zero in 24hrs, then you are cycled.

Not sure why they didn’t attach but yes nitrates are 20 ppm or so and nitrites are right above 0

...good to add a few fish. Don't assume you have tons of bacteria that can scale their activity to a full bioload for the tank size. See the last FAQ in the first post of the cycling sticky thread for why. Add a few and monitor.

And get a Seachem ammonia alert button so you can check ammonia a dozen times a day without getting your hands wet.

Looks like you are ready to go... just add fish slowly while the bacterial population increases.
