Cycling help

Hey guys it’s going on to 3 weeks now I used Dr.Tim and need some help so I started by the ammonia drops and then stopped when they told me I just did a test and so far this is what I got for my parameters

Salifert tests

Ammonia - 0.15

Nitrite - 4

Nitrate - 100

I heard the some Dr tims ammonia bottles where labeled wrong and it says to do 4 drops per gallon but it was mean to be 1 I’m guess that’s what happened to me seeing the nitrates are so high.

My question is seeing as ammonia is almost at 0 will the good bacteria start to die? Also what can I do?

Thanks

The good bacteria will not start to die. Tanks naturally go through these cycles when they first start and all the parameters will even out over time. Assuming you put live sand and rock into your tank your cycling process will be done soon. Majority of the life in the live sand is actaully dead when purchased due to the amount of time it sits in the back and on the selves(worked at a fish store and saw first hand) and this actually helps jump start you cycling process. The benifical bacteria will stay alive during this time
