so now that a bunch of people explained the some things about live rock to me, I'm wondering about cycling .. Sorry for all the strange questions.. How exactly does cycling work in a saltwater tank? Does the bacteria grow on the rock? Is there ammonia, nitrites and nitrates? What levels should they be kept at?

can i do the curing process and right after cycle the tank?

In general, a saltwater tank is safe for inhabitants once ammonia and nitrite test 0. Nitrate should usually be in the lower single to double digits, though some successful saltwater tanks have much higher nitrate levels.
