Im about 4 weeks into my cycle, I added some fish food to get it going, well I tested the water and I am showing very low ammonia but my nitrites and Nitrates are off the chart.

What can I do to get them down?

Will adding chetto to the fuge help?

Water change?

Or do I need to dose something like vinager or vodka or even bio pellets?

Or do I need to add some type of bacteria to get things in overdrive?

I'd try a larger water change or adding cheato first.

Are you curing the rock at the same time? That is, did you start with dry rock? That's my guess....and you need to do water changes.....and 100% water changes can be done during a cure. If you don't take care of nitrates (and phosphates) now, you'll be posting in a couple months about a terrible algae problem.

Yes I started out with dry rock and one small piece of live rock.

It’s a 65 gallon tank with a 20 gallon sump. How big of a water change should I do?
