hey my dudes back with cycling my tank, the seed bacteria was sorta working then I went and bought a live rock, Costed 20$ [emoji24]. A few outs later I checked on the water parameters and I found that the ammonia, nitrite and nitrate is at max readings. Should I do a emergency water change or is it a cycling thing

You added more live rock during the cycle correct? What was there before if anything? How long was the new rock out of the water?

There will be die off usually from adding uncured live rock. If the tank is cycling that is expected. Since the rock has life I would want to contain Ammonia (as opposed to a dry rock cycle where one adds Ammonia). Yes I would do water changes.

Yeah. There was lower nitrates lol before the live rock. Probably around 20 minutes. The rock I acquired was cured by the store. Ok I’ll do a big water change
