about to start the cycling process with my 30 gallon reef. ive run across the atm colony product and the online reviews seen positive. curious if anyone has used the product, does it work well, and if so what is the process to it because there really isnt any definitive step by step. i have a hob marineland 350 filter. after my tank meets parameters and i introduce colony do i continue to run my filter or what? let me get some of you guys and gals input and feedback.

Looks like another bacteria In a bottle. I would add it once the temp and sg is correct and yes run your filters. Allow the tank to continue to run it's course cycling. Products like this do not allow you to skip the cycling process but do help shorten the duration.

Thats what ill do. Everything ive read said equipment off but werent real specic about what to cut off. Just making sure. Alright to run powerheads as well? And do you recomend this product or something different?

dr tims and biospira are readily available. ive had much better luck with dr tims though.

mb7 and stability were better for nitrate removal not really cycling time ime.

run what you want except skimmer and gfo and you should be good.

Curious about a detail

Are you using live rock cured underwater from a pet store or totally dry rock to start this tank, got pics?
