First and foremost, I'm new to the forum, I've had freshwater tanks for a couple of years now, and finally decided to make the plunge into saltwater... I've been reading for a couple of months, and am waiting for my cycle to complete....

I've been cycling my tank for around a month, and I just spotted this guy yesterday... At first I thought it was a coral, but now I'm wondering... It's been leaving cob web looking things behind on live rock.

Any ideas?

I saw it before going to bed, woke up, and it had moved about an inch... Left some cobweb stuff behind... Came home from work that day and it had moved about 3 or 4 inches... I picked it up with my net to get a better picture of it (although I didn't get any better pictures than the one above), and it grabbed ahold of the net... Plus if you look at the picture, it looks like its stuck itself to a bunch of sand...

Hmm, I've never seen anything like it, I'd get rid of it just to be safe. Can you get a pic from the top down, maybe in a bowl or something similar?

Is the picture broken I don't see a image just a square with like a ripped page can't help if no picture

Sometimes they will tell you anything to get you to buy something Yea know I would have waited and seen it eat for myself instead of a sales rep
