So I’m cycling a new aquarium with live rock and live sand that have been dried out for over year. I put a damsel in a giant clown fish in there for about three days now the water is cloudy still. when should I expect to do a water change and how much water should I do?

I would go get a bottle of Bacteria. Dr Tim’s or bio spira.
As ammoina builds it burns the gills.

Not many use the fish to cycle anymore.

After a month do a big water change. 20-30%. As you see algae grow start adding snails.
