Hello, I’m cycling my tank with the Fritz 900. Is there any advantage to adding the Microbacter7?

It will add some other bacterial species into the tank (the more the better) and some more of the cycling bacteria. So yes there is a benefit but its not 100% necessary.

What @aaltayeh. But I would not recommend Microbacter7. Rather, Microbacter XLM, or other products that contain ONLY nitrifying microbes imo is better.

I think that is only an issue if there is absoltely no phosphorus in the tank.

More so an issue with the heterotrophs in MB7 potentially/likely growing faster than the nitrifiers and outcompeting the nitrifiers and use up all the nutrients in the tank. Which would inhibit the reproduction of the nitrifiers.

I did check my phosphate ulr which was 0.07 ppm, any suggestions?
