Cycling process - White bugs!! Help me id please

Hello everybody I’m Markus and I started in this hobby a few weeks ago whith my 20-liter-picoreef. The tank is doing well so far... nitrogen cycle... diatom algae started to grow up etc...But now I’ve come across something I don’t have a clue about.I’ve noticed the presence of tiny white spot-like bugs swimming around, nor me or my reefer buddies know what they are... so can anybody help us id these little bucks? Should I be concerned? I’m nearly done with the cycling process. I use reef crystals mix salt, perform weekly water changes and have all the equipment for the pico (heater, pump, filter, live rock, rodi water...) Yeah tanks invaded I guess this is because there are no fishies yet!

I am new as well and just a few weeks ago I had the same issue. A sudden outburst of massive amounts of white "dots" swimming around. As quickly as they came, a few weeks later, they seemd to have VANISHED.

I helped my friend throughout the cycling process, followed the same steps, bought the same stuff..., my tank is 9 months old now, never seem them...

If you think yours are bad, take a look at mine. When I first set up my tank I had them too. BIG TIME. Then a few weeks later, just as quick as they appeared, they VANISHED. Check out the link below lol

Hahaha surely not a bad thing! Never seen these guys in my tank... I had a dragonette b4 and bought him bottle of pods. I'm sure they wouldnt be hanging around if there were fish to eat them!

I just discovered an explosion of pods last night, thousands of them in my tank and sump. I have been up and running for two years and have never seen them before.

Let me know if you still have all those guys after a few weeks. I'm curious because after a few weeks of a major infestation they just completely disappeared. kinda weird and leaves me thinking I've done something wrong. My tank is about a month and a half to two months old

You've done nothing wrong. It is the life cycle of Copepods Too it could be a Plankton bloom in which case also a cycle.

i'll let you know gemini9 if they disappear or not after a few weeks. Fish are going in soon so i'll see what happens to the pods then
