Cycling question

Todays update, the nitrates are super high which is what we want right :)

So whats the next step? Keep checking it for the next couple days? Do a big (50%) water change? I do have a full bottle of bio-spira should I do a big WC and then add that bottle of bacteria?

sure I agree its looking good. The wc wont matter one way or another. Since we have verified hitchhiker life we wouldn't re dose any ammonia, so the best call is now to just wait 12 days or so that you know you have had the rocks submerged. Caribsea rocks have the painted on goodies such that two weeks underwater is done, across caribsea type live rocks. The testing wont impact that time frame, and the associated bugs indicates something was already wet or cycled there anyway. Id wait till day 12 you know its been underwater, change the water so theres less algae fuel, and begin

Today is day 12 the rocks have been in the tank and wet, I put them in June 2nd. Still wait another 12 days? I didnt put the Dr tims and the ammonia in until June 9th.

Stoked almost there. I would think if ammonia is gone and looks like nitrite gone should be good. I would do as @brandon429 mentioned, water change , maybe change out any carbon, socks or foam and go slow

I would up the kits now to a more accurate brand like salifert..

I have all 3 brands lol see my pic red sea ammonia api nitrate and salifert nitrate lol. I actually test with all the kits and to be honest I dont see much difference even though they say api isn't reliable. Not sure why but my water seems a little cloudy, I will defiantly change all my filter media and big WC and hope it gets back to when I added water to the tank at first. It was crystal clear until I added the Dr tims.

So after a 20 gallon water change (all I had on tap at the time). and changed all the media/carbon this is where Im sitting as of now. The tank is back to crystal clear again also. Im a little worried its not fully cycled as it was sooo fast. Can it be for lack of better term a false reading/cycle?
