While I'm waiting for my new 48x24x24 tank, I want to start cycling my rocks.

I live in Las Vegas and the temperature gets 100+ degrees.
Will high temperatures have an effect on the Beneficial bacteria when cycling?

I'm mainly cycling MarinePure Ceramic Biomedia and some rocks to help jump start the cycling in the tank.

It won't matter if you do or don't add air, nothing will stop the cycle. Add two pinches of flake food to dissolve and they'll be ready in a week. This is Dr Reefs carbon boost trick from his cycling thread. Use fritz, biospira or Dr Tims bottle bac
