Cycling question

Hello all,

I am on day 6 doing a fishless cycle using Dr. Tims One and only and ammonium.

Dosed 2ppm of ammonium day 1, nothing else.

Ammonium does not seem to have ever decreased while nitrite has gone up to 2ppm

Is that possible/normal for ammonium to not move or am I doing something wrong? Using API test.
Temp: 83-85 F
Salinity: 1.026 (I actually meant to make this lower for the cycle but forgot)
Ph: 7.8 to 7.64

Could be an error with the API test kits since they're notoriously inaccurate, but since your nitrates are showing 20 I'd say the cycle is progressing.
