So I had an anemone that was pretty much gone, so I threw it in my tank that’s cycling…..was that wrong? I know a fish is good but should of asked about the anemone. It’s only been cycling for a week and I believe the guys threw in Dr Tims stuff. Thoughts?

Generally, anemones are known to release toxic substances when they die vs a fish or piece of shrimp just rotting and producing ammonia.

I would be afraid of wiping out any progess your cycling has made with the addition of a dying anemone. It certainly will continue to die.

I was thinking about that….makes me a little nervous

I took the anemone off the rock and out of the tank…better safe than sorry I guess.
