I know the api test kit isn’t the best.. but it’s all I have right now. Here are my readings.. is the nitrate too high?

Seems like nitrates are 10ppm, tank looks cycled, with the api you should wait a day or two after reading 0ppm on ammonia, other test kits will show a 0.25 ppm ammonia or probably more. I tested it with my local lfs who uses api test kits.

Cycling is done. You may add fish if you’d like.

Nitrates ideally kept from 2ppm-10ppm

I bought a bottle of dr Tim’s one and only.. should I put it in still?
It’s not necessarily needed, but if you already bought it I’d use it rather than waste it.

It can only help seed more nitrifying bacteria.

Should I do a water change before adding fish?
It’s not needed, but you can certainly do one if you’d like!

I’d have a water change schedule in place. I personally think 10% bimonthly is good for new tanks.

Those parameters can easily keep fish happy and healthy.

Do you have a way to measure salinity and temperature?

I have a thermometer in the tank and a refractometer.. My salinity is at 1.025 and temp is around 75 degrees
