Hi
I am upgrading my tank from a 75 to a 100gallon tank. I have a question.
it’s going to take time to set it up and I read somewhere that I could cycle the sand in a tote with a heater and a circular pump. I plan on seeding the water with a scoop of sand from my old tank. I bought all new sand, but will be transferring as much water as I can without the muck. Last time I set up the tank and cycled a few weeks with dr. Tim’s. And it worked great. I’m just wondering if the same could be done in a tote like someone suggested.

Yes absolutely. You can do it in a trash can aquarium whatever you have

Plastic tote from Walmart or buckets whatever you want

I think it’s a good idea. I would try to keep the sand very roughly the same depth as it will be in the tank.

Just don't do it in the bathtub unless you want to divorce LOL

Lol

If she entered this forum I would pretend I didn't know you LOL

I already have one mad at me, I don't need another one.
