I'm currently cycling my tank and I turned the lights off due to the appearance of green algae. I hadn't been checking my PH regularly, but when I did it was 8.2. The lights have been off for a couple of days now and my PH is at 7.8. Can I attribute this reading to the lighting and is this something I should worry about at this point in the process?

Thank-you!

Ya that's just because of the lights off and 7.8 isn't terribly low I wouldn't worry about it at all it'll bounce up once everything is done cycling and lights are on

Thanks, that's what I was thinking, but I just wanted to make sure!

Yes, no intervention warranted or needed at this time.
