So... I have been cycling the tank for a couple of days now. Using the Seneye, I can see the Ammonia starting to rise, I have 4 (dead shrimp) in the tank and dosing Micro-bactor 7 as per instructions. I am only running the filter socks at this time and the skimmer is off.

The tank is starting to cloud, Lights are off for now. I am just wondering if I should be running the skimmer for a period of time each day. I figured that if I did that I am likely to slow the cycle down.

Looking for thoughts, just to be clear there is no live stock in the tank at this point.

Sounds like a bacterial bloom if it doesn't have a green tint. How big is the tank? I would remove the shrimp. Leave the skimmer off and monitor the ammonia. Let the bacteria do its thing. I also wouldn't add anymore of the Micro-bactor 7 until the tank clears. Just a thought.

Tank is 225, no green tint, just cloudy

Just a side note, we are heading out of town for a week, I was planning on pulling the shrimp out and wont be dosing during this time. and I will be able to monitor the Seneye remotely so I should be able to see the cycle.
