Ok so I'm filling my tank up with saltwater now and will be putting my live sand and base rock with a few love rocks tomorrow. I want to know the light cycle that I should have my tank on for the cycle and also should I add miracle mud to my refugium or wait for a little? Thanks!

no lights at all for the cycle. they are not needed. you can put mud in. it will also need to start growing bacteria on it. you may want to get some bacteria to help along the cycle. then just sit back and let it do what it has too. you need to let the tank cycle and that takes time. probably about a month. hope that helps.

Thanks! I'm letting it run with the hydors and wave maker I got for about 8 weeks so it should be fine

You can run lights a few hours a day. Dependant on how much live rock you use and if it is cured are not will determine how long it takes to cycle. Test your water for ammonia, nitrates etc. and when everything is stable you should be able to add livestock slowly.

You can add the mud, don't run lights during cycle. All you'll be growing with the lights is algae and you don't want to have bad algae problems before the tank is even fully started. Run your powerheads am just wait out the cycle for a few weeks.
