Hope this is correct forum. I had a reefers worse nightmare, tank leakage. Anyway all stuff is now in a temp tank. How long will i have to wait before adding my livestock into new tank. Live rock is a carry over but the sand will all be new.

If you have the tank balanced out with algae (macros or turf in a refugium or even possibly corraline in the display), you can actually go much faster then most think. The algae will consume ammonia directly preventing the dangerous spikes.

be sure to go slow and limit feeding for a week after adding to the new environment.

You should be ok in just a few days. Your rock is already cured, and thats where the majority of your bacteria is at.
