Here's my nitrate level so since it's this high there shouldn't be any nitrite or ammonia in the tank right

I'm about to test phosphate but I'm not sure how to do alkalinity

How big of a water change should I do it's a 27 gallon flateback hexagon tank

At least 30% of the tank but the more you can do the better. Your nitrates are really high which is normal but you're gonna want to get those down before you start introducing corals. I would do 50-75% and start running your skimmer if you have it to knock those nitrates down.

So your nitrates look as if they are at least 50 ppm. I don't know what nitrate level you desire. Halving the nitrate, a 50 percent change or better two thirty percent changes would get the nitrates to 25 ppm. Another halving involving another set of water changes would get it down to 12 ppm. A third halving would be 6 ppm. If you have a skimmer, you can dose vodka. The vodka causes bacteria to multiply in the water. The bacteria remove nitrates in the water as they multiply and they are removed by the skimmer. The skimmer needs to be over sized for your system for this to work.

Alls that is in there is the tang is got 2 other tanks that there's stuff in

I got the reef octopus bh 90 because I don't have a sump I do know how to do plumbing and stuff

I don't think that I let them fully cycle though because the lfs that I goto said the tanks would be good after 4 weeks so I just put stuff in after 4 weeks and I'm pretty sure that they probably didn't cycle fully

Even if you didn't let your older tanks cycle through, they should be by now. It just cost a lot more money when things dies on you. Letting tanks cycle is to prevent extra cost and safety of the animals we love so much.
