Is it possible to not see my nitrite level ever go up... I had a rise in my ammonia and nitrates but both have dropped since but never saw nitrites. I did use bottle bacteria to help with cycle. Any advise would be welcomed as to that I'm new to keeping a reef aquarium

Bottle bac gets a tank ready 0-3 days, on average, so you are cycled and ready.

The testing for nitrite in the hobby is so far from accurate its best not to even factor it, or own the test~ sounds strange I know but with updated cycling information we know nowadays nitrite can't stall a cycle and doesn't matter in the least to a cycling tank. I know there are YouTube videos from bottle bac sellers claiming nitrite matters, we've just found another way where it simply doesn't matter.

I keep a running collection of tanks we're starting while they still show nitrites, too many to count.

Ammonia control is all that matters
