This is just a pod right? I have been having a lot of trouble with corals turning white over night in the case of acros and LPS turning into bone, literally over night.

This is a picture of the frag. It is a montipora.
 
It's just a pod right?
 
I can't accurately identify the critter, but......there are parasitic copepods that will Chow down on sps, lps, and certain clams. If you are having a constant issue with your corals dying, and your params are pretty on point. You may have some parasitic pods.

That being said they are a pretty rare parasite. Also, if your corals are bleaching overnight there is probably another factor. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
