Hello guys,

I have a red cynarina that looks awesome most of the time. While the lights ares on it gets huge, looks nice, colourful and healthy. However, when the lights go off (mainly during the late night), while it releases its tentacles for feeding, I can see a mark on it's body that comes from the side and now is reaching it's mouth. I noticed it is getting bigger. Firstly I thought it was dividing, but now I am getting worried. Notice that on the plane that the mark starts the coral does not release tentacles. Have anyone seen something like that before?

Thank you!

Are you speaking of the blemish at about 10 o'clock? If so it looks like it was injured. On a side note is that as fluffy as it gets? They are normally like a balloon. Should look like that at night.

As long as it gets fluffier during the day. Just wanted to be sure, some would consider that fluffy unless they knew better. If it is getting worse i would use an iodine dip. To help clean if an injury or kill if it is a burrowing critter. Not sure how cynarina do with dips, so research first. I have iodine dipped scoly before and are in same family.

Very nice during the day!! I love mine, but don't know how to troubleshoot just yet with them.
