Hi

I recently had to rip apart most of my tank to get a nasty coral beauty who was nipping at corals. Finally got him out after many failed attempts.

But now i am having what looks like a red slime cyno sort of problem. I am not sure if its caused from low nutrients or just turning my tank upside down to catch him. I was feeding my tank more when i had the angel in to prevent him from nipping so much.

I am running phosphate out, bio pellets and have a small fuge which hasn't been going as good lately.

I am wondering what i can do to prevent this before it get worse. 95% of my corals still look good but worried that could change. I have zeofood plus and zeo start on hand, but dont know if those products will help.

Looking for some advice, thanks.
(as you can see in the pic the far left is slimy the rest is coralline)

Chemiclean is my weapon of choice. I've tried other methods but they really only manage and never actually eradicate. After 2 rounds of chemiclean most of the time it's eradicated. I know other people on here prefer to use a non chemical method and I have tried for the longest time in one of my tanks and nothing worked

Maybe the cyano is consuming the nutrients, but you need to increase them or you are playing with dinos. I myself got a cyano outbreak and since the cyano was taking all the nutrients dinos came to join the party.

Looking to where you have it, I would say you should increase the flow somehow in that spot.
