I know I'm probably answering my own question here but I want to make sure.
I have a 29 gallon biocube, with a decent bio load of fish, lr and corals. The tank has been doing well, corals are thriving, and i just put my first few SPS piece in there. Over the last month, I have have a little bit of cyno, that turned into a LOT of cyno. As you all know, it grows back super quick, and is covering all the rock, I vaccum it off during water changes, and it's back in full by the end of the week.
I am persistant with weekly 5 gallon water changes, but I am assuming since I am currently NOT running a skimmer, this might be the reason for the Cyno coming into the tank and running rampant.
I would think if I toss on a skimmer (Thinking Aquamax 1.5 HOB), that will fix my excess nutrient problem, and help the cyno die out and go away.
Any thoughts and advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Here's a pic from the middle of last week, by the time I did my water change, that whole rock was covered in a cyno mat.
