Hello all, new here. Can anyone help me with information on cyphastrea? I have a Hawkeye cyphastrea that was doing well and now it's not opening up as before. During the day when all lights are on the polyps are smaller. At night when the blue lights are on they appear a little larger but have been shrinking. I have moved it several times, it seems to do better when I first move it and then it shrinks again. I have it partially shaded by rock right now. Can't find anything about it on the web.

I have some questions as well.
I have had this cyphastrea for over a year and it has grown way beyond the original frag and looked great. Just last week the frag area has begun to turn white and over the past 2 days spread.

No lighting changes.

Routine water change 1 week ago.

Tank up for over 1.5 years with SPS, LPS, Soft corals inverts, clam, etc.
65g with 20g sump refugium
stable tests.
Nitrate 0-10
Nitrite 0
Alk 7-7.5
Ca 430-450
PH 8-8.3
Same lights and same placement of coral for over a year.

Only thing that I think may have affected it was some aragonite was over the area a few days as the watchman goby and tiger shrimp were moving things under the ledge rock.

Thoughts?
How to stop it from turning white?
Remove the frag since it is white?
Wait?

Thanks.

Sorry.
To answer the 1st post. I always had mine low in tank (just above 2 feet down range) in 65g under 4 bulb T5 Aquaticlife. It spread like crazy and opened fully in the past. All other areas are still opening except the problem bleached areas.
