Hey all,
Got this cyphastrea frag a couple weeks back. Started out nice and bluish with some healthy green heads that were opened up nicely. I had it on a rock on a bottom in the open. Noticed over the last weekish that lost its color with the heads turning brown.
All the rest of my corals are doing fine. Just did water tests: nitrates 10; phos 0 salinity 1.025 temp 77.4.
I keep mostly blue on all the time with with more intensity when it first comes on and lowest in the eve. Only run my whites very low like 2% for a few hours. Lights only on 8 hrs a day.
Below are some pics. Turned the whites on so you can see the frag. Won't even go anymore. I've since moved it to the rock your seeing. Where this place will now have shade and not much flow.
Pics of the other coral frags I got which are nice and vibrant.
Rob
