I got a meteor shower cyphastrea from cherry corals that should be in on Friday and I was wondering where I should place it. I have a place in mind and ill post a picture tomorrow of where id like it but idk if its a good spot because I was told they grow fast and I would like to frag it but I don't know how to frag it from a rock and that's my main question. (how to frag cyphastrea from a rock?)

Meteor shower will encrust on any solid surface. It is a low light. I found it can get more green in very low light. More a a blue base is just a bit more. Or is it the other away around. But too much light and it will perish. So acclimate it to your lighting. It is a fast grower so place it so it will not encrust onto another coral or where you do not want it to grow. Luckily it prefers lower light area and will shy if light is too high.

As for where to place it when i had mine. I just put it on a palm size rock. A saw will cut the rock for fragging. Or just place a plug near it as it grows. It will grow onto plug. Instant frag.
