Hi everyone,

Just a quick question sorry if this has been asked before and it's long winded, I've acquired roughly 50lbs of this D-D rock and wanted to add roughly half 25-30lbs of this to my current 68g (US Gallon) not inc sump (96g in total) I've currently got 50lbs in there of the Moani dry live rock by caribsea. Tanks roughly 12 months old, I currently have this soaking in RO-DI water as of 20 mins ago, which I will change tomorrow, I will also soak it in tank water once I've done a water change, can I add all at once or do I need to add it a rock at a time and leave it for a few days? and so on and so on?

Thanks

DD rock is the same as Marco rock and some others. Dry mined old reef stuff. You will not have any issues adding it all at once. After soaking, I would wash it well to remove all the dust.

It shouldn't cause a 'mini cycle' should it?

Nope it dry as a bone. Nothing on it but calcium dust. No phosphate inside like the old Pukani rock.

That's great thanks for your help, I know what i'll be doing friday :)
