Almost had a disaster with me not noticing the temperature had dropped drastically last week. In the end I lost 2 Euphilias and half of another. I lost a torch and a wall Euphilia.

My temperature controller was situated in the tank cupboard next to the sump out of sight and failed thankfully in the off position.
I decided I needed to buy something I could visibly see at all times so invested in the D-D temperature controller.
The wires were just long enough but would have been better if they had mini plugs so I could drill a small hole in the cabinet front to thread them through to the controller rather than having to trail them out the back and round to the front.
Still, am pleased to be able to mount the controller where it is easily seen at all times.

Ive got one in both my systems as primary temperature control and monitored by Apex and they are excellent as is most equipment supplied by DD.

Apex cant be trusted as primary control unfortunately because of my experience with the temperature probe but its a useful tool nevertheless

I like it -- looks clean.

I'm at messy but visible using cheapest $29 Inkbird ITC-306T for temp display and emergency shut-off if either of my heaters gets stuck ON:
