d2mini's "Essential Focus" Mixed Reef Build

Spectacular - Just skip the whole reef thing and build sumps for different rooms in your house.

Question: if you are able to locate the larger storage containers for the Triton chemicals, is there any advantage to using smaller dosing containers, or is it ok to does straight from the larger vessels? I know you have to mix the various parts with water, does that make separate dosing containers a necessity?
They have an improved version of the elements that are 7 times stronger and can be dosed from the container it comes in.

You have to mix with 10 liters of water (around 3g), hence the reason for separate containers.
As pointed out above, they did come out with a more concentrated version, but I don't believe they are available for purchase quite yet.

Wow!! Thats one of the most amazing looking sump I have seen .. Kudos to your wire handling skills.

Regarding the refugium , wondering what macro algae are you looking to stock with as Triton calls for variety of algae culture? Also are you going for any substrate like Miracle Mud ?

Regards,
Abhishek

This build is really making me , consider taking down my FW Nature Aquarium , and creating a reef tank with my tank lol !!!;):(:)

Thanks!
Right now I have the cheato and some Mermaid's Fan that I got from TBS.
But soon I'll probably place an order with LivePlants and get a few other varieties like Halimeda, Gracilaria... maybe one or two others.

Updated pics of the inner workings. :)

What is this LivePlants place you speak of?

@d2mini did you use the 375ml or 800ml Voss bottles? I picked up 3 of the 800ml (black cap) Sparkling Voss bottles at the grocery store last night and I'm waiting on the bulkheads to arrive.

800 ml.
Enjoy the water... it's good! :)

Eventually.
Need my nitrates to come down.
Might splurge on a Day Glo Rainbow bubble tip. Not sure I want to risk a carpet nem.

Why not splurge on a Colorado Sunburt? The only downside is that you need to wear a pair of sunglasses when viewing them... Lol

Wow Dennis. I had no idea you were this far into the new build! I thought you were still working on getting the new house in order, and then I saw your link from marsh. You just took several (enjoyable) hours of my weekend reading through this! I should have known you couldn't stay without a tank for very long. So I guess the water seepage and tile issue is gone?

Really like what you did with the house, oh, and the tank looks pretty nice too! :D I was just in your neighborhood Friday evening, and almost texted you to see if you were home, but after seeing this, I certainly want to see the new tank in person.

Great job as usual!

Thanks, thomas! Come over any time.
I see you got a new toy, too. ;)
