d2mini's "Essential Focus" Mixed Reef Build

This stuff looks amazing. I really want to order some stuff from them for my new tank.

What does the freight cost, roughly, each time you pick up the shipment?

It's right about $1/lb. Remember, this includes the water which is what is keeping everything alive.
So this order of 3 boxes cost me about $125.
The first batch of 6 boxes was around $260 I think. I don't remember exactly.

Wow! That rock is amazing. The sponges are really colorful.
Thanks! :)

Love all of the stuff
Thanks, me too! ;)

Awesome!!

Did you order 'just' the package, or additional critters?

I'm anxious to get my new 75 up and running so I can get some of that TBS goodness!
oops, almost missed this post.
This is "The Package".
Depending on what he has/finds when you order, he will send extra bonus goodies like the sponges, gorgonians, etc... stuff not listed on The Package price list.
This is my 4th tank setup with The Package so he's been real good to me. :)
But everyone feels like a kid on Christmas morning when they get back from the airport!

What's with Nitrate test kits?!
My NYOS is saying about 10ppm and my brand new Salifert says somewhere between 25-50 ppm.
The high reading doesn't surprise me but man that's a big difference between kits!

I noticed that too, bro. I tend to lean more on the Salifert in cases like that, but I have had 'role reversals' in the past with those exact kits.

I know! It's frustrating. I have the Nyos, Salifert, Red Sea pro, and API nitrate tests. When nitrate is low, I only trust the Red Sea Pro test, but when nitrate is higher, like 5+, the kits give me readings all over the place (between 5-60). Wish there was a consistent test....I don't know which one to believe

I had just finished moving stuff around last night and took a few pics.

Here's a couple FTS.
The rocks look basically the same. I added a few more but it was mostly to fill a few holes, without changing the overall aquascape I had earlier.

Wow!! This looks epic ..
Are all the gorgorians photosynthetic ? Any special food planned for them ?

Seeing your tank, it gives me a lot of ideas for an ideal NPS tank with gorgorians , sponges, Tubastreas ,Dendrophyllia and Balanophyllia :)

Oh my GER! It's already beautiful!

I have been following for a while, your build looks awesome. I'm really digging those sponges!

Yes. They filter feed but are also photosynthetic. So the brownish ones are pretty easy to keep.
The purple sea fans I have always had trouble keeping long term. Not sure why.

LOL! Gracias. :)
