d2mini's "Essential Focus" Mixed Reef Build

Thanks!
Just two little eye hooks in the ceiling of the stand.
Works great with the supplied hanging kit.

Ha, just kidding, you have much greater clearance than I do. Going to try to run mine the same way. Thanks for the photo!

Have you had a chance to see if you can add the nest to your myGHL control page?

Wow...that is an insane amount of sponges, gorgs, etc... that was included in "the package" from Tampa Bay Saltwater (including the amazing rock of course)! It nearly filled your tank!

Finally got the chance to read through all of the build today. Now I know why there are 35 pages to go through!!!! Amazing, looks beautiful already and I love the Tampa bay rock so much life. Those sponges are cool never seen a sponge package before. Can't wait to see how it looks in a month

No, as far as i know, you need a direct URL to the camera. I don't think this is possible with the nest?
I have a Foscam that I still need to get hooked back up. Maybe that would work.

Thanks!
I'll try to get a new FTS this week.
My new screen top from Artfully Acrylic arrived yesterday! :)

I just ordered the same Mars Hydro light. How many hours are you running it?

Only 8 hrs a day? How did you determine how long turn it?
Trial and error, and past experience.
Obviously the macros are doing well at 8 hours so no need to run more. Even for LED that light puts out some heat.

I am so sorry, I seem to have missed it...what light are you running on your fuge? I know you posted it in here but I am going through the pages and am having some issues finding it, LOL. Thanks! Your fuge tank is super inspiring, I'm hoping to do something similar soon! :)

Mars Hydro 300, available on Amazon. :)

After about 6 weeks my new screen top from Artfully Acrylic arrived. :)
It's made to fit the tank exactly, even going around the overflow.
It's recessed inside with about 1/8" sticking up, supported by tabs on the corners.
I also opted for the feed door in the front.
I normally like to feed more in the center of the tank but it's still nice to have easy access to the water for filling test tubes, dosing things, placing my nori clip, etc.
The white screen material is the same as the BRS stuff.
It ain't cheap, but it looks much nicer and doesn't take away from the rimless look as much as other options.
So I get the clean look AND I don't have to worry about jumpers.

Overall I'm very pleased and would definitely recommend this product.
The only thing I would have liked to see is smoother, polished edges (i'm sure this would have jacked the price up even further though) and some kind of hinge on the door.
If hit right and hard enough, a fish could knock it off, leaving a good sized escape hole.

Since its polycarbonate, would acrylic hinges bond to it or would they too need to be polycarb?
Weld-on #16 will bond poly, so will #3 or #4, etc. It's just not a really strong bond, meaning, not structural for holding water. But it will bond a hinge on very well.
