d2mini's "Essential Focus" Mixed Reef Build

Always happy with my Tampa Bay tanks. :)
As am I! I have to post a thread soon with my pics but the Tampa Bay rocks have been great.

I did just spot a mantis shrimp today though. Any tips on getting these guys out? I feel kinda bad because he is so cool but I don't want to risk anything. Still super happy with my rocks and don't regret it at all!

Don't sweat it, especially when they are small.
They may go after snails but they're easily replenished. Or they may just scavenge.
Eventually they get more brave and come out more. At that point you can try removing if you wish.
They're really cool to watch while you have them. :)

Had a little visit from @Diesel today.
Time to get this party started. ;)

I've been wondering about you and forgot you had this major project going on!!

Looks like you have a Fireant problem on your hands now.............. with these mounts ;)

HAHAHA, I never know what my guys are doing but we found a 18 carat white gold ring with a 4.8 carat diamond on it from under the deck.
I gave to the same guy who picked up the envelope............. thought it was the right thing to do :D

LOL! I almost said "those are not fire ant piles." :D

Hi there , have been following your build with great interest.

Enjoyed the detailed write-up and especially enjoined the pictures of your amazing home.

Have been meaning to ask : What is kept in the brown wire cage on the deck in picture below ?

My wife. :p

It's for the little white guy in the front of that pic and this ferocious beast, in the rare instance that we might need to leave them outside for the day, like if contractors are going in and out.
We had picked it up when we were selling the old house and had people coming over to look.

Yip , keeping a Maltese away from enticing ankles is always a good move .They can attack 100's in the mere blink of an eye.

Actually thought it might be for a marmoset or sugar glider

oooo. That looks nice.
Thanks, Meredith!
That was just a tease but it is looking really good. :)
The diesel man knows his stuff!
But I already knew that and is why I pestered him to let me hire him once again. ;)

I like those tiles!
