Daily Coral Amino Dosing

I run a 30 gallon tank with 10 gal fuge and have a mixed reef with some acros and lps, one softie and 2 maxima clams (4 in and 6 in)

I generally dose 16 drops (4/5 ml) which is scaled from the recommended dose for a 50 gal into my tank. Sometimes I see some cyano pop up in the sump only and some brown film algae appear on my tank occasionally. My bioload is decently heavy so I am unsure whether or not I am overdosing the AAs. I figure the cyano might be a tell to answer my question but all help is welcome.

If you see signs of excess organics. Reducing AA dosing will generally help.

Yes, a potential drawback of amino acid dosing is cyanobacteria since they can readily consume organics such as amino acids.
