Daily dose to multiple daily smaller doses

I recently got a doser(ghl doser 2.1) and am curious of the best way to go from 1 daily dose to multiple small doses evenly spread out through the day/night that would equal the same amount I dose all at once now. For instance I dose my tank 15ml alk all at once around 5pm every day and after I dose the alk is around 9.2 give or take slightly. I want to start taking that 15ml and distributing it evenly through out the day. This may seem obvious to some but to me I am looking at it in two ways and unclear which is best. See below fore questions.

1. if I need do one more 15ml daily dose and then start the smaller doses once it is at 9.2 and has burned a little. Thinking would be that the small dose would keep it right at 9.2.

2. If today at 5, instead of doing my 15ml all at once dose, I would just program the doser to do 15 ml in 24 hrs evenly spread out. To me I feel like the alk would would keep it closer to the alk amount in tank before I dose.

Better safe then sorry and appreciate any advice.

I would recommend smaller doses throughout the day and daily testing until you get the happy spot

To be really safe you could do your daily 15ml dose and then start your automatic doser, however I do not think it is really critical, you could start your automatic doser at anytime. Most of the alkalinity consumption is during the daytime/photosynthesis, if you want to take that into consideration.

IMO the critical thing is to monitor your alkalinity daily until things are stable and you have the kinks worked out with your dosing system... air bubbles, leaky connections and what not.

And make sure you check the hosing so that its actually pumping the buffer into the sump. hahaha Man that had me scratching my head. Thanks for you help RUBE!
