Ive done everything i can think of to keep the range as tight as posible but even with the times i dose soda ash, a co2 scrubber on a three way valve to scub c02 only when ph <8.3 my daily ph swing still worrying me (the small peaks on the graph are from dosing silicates)

Personally I would not chase 8.2 to 8.4. Especially if the 8.2 is at night.

I don't see any problem here at all.

A true 8.2 minimum is pretty tough to achieve, and sounds great! I'm like 7.6 to 8.2( if I trusted ph probes) What small peak are you worried about the bottom of the trough or the upper peak?

To be honest im embareesed. This was a panic post. For some reason in my moment of panic after seeing some shriveled up coral i was counting the change in hundredths if that makes any sence ik it sounds stupid. i was thinking of it as change over 1 not .2

Before i start another thread maybe you can help me here. Ive been doing some research on the fourm and found quite a bit of info on silicates interfering with hanna phosphate checker but also saw somewhere it would only interfere if si was above 10ppm?

My hanna checker has been reading high. As high as 2.4 but my salifert silica test looks like its under 2ppm. Ive been under the impression i was just getting a false reading but i doubt my silicates are above 10ppm unless the salifert test is extremely inaccurate.

Besides an icp test which i plan to send out in a few weeks are there any kits available in the us you can recommend. I have a hard time reading the salifert si and po4 tests.

What is the 3way valve? Does it use the scrubber only sometimes? How?

Exactly, Its a simple on off control but three way. So one line always to the skimmer and I have the scrubber hooked up to one and the the other side just draws ambient air. The electric ball valve is controlled by the apex with a simple if ph >8.3 then on code. So when the ph is over 8.3 it send power to the three way drawing only ambient air to the skimmer. I did this because i was able to fine tune the amount of air precisely. With a normal 2 way when the valve was open it would still draw a small amount of air through the skimmer.

This is not the exact one i ordered but similar design. i can find the link to the one i use if you are interested because it has worked great and i also used the 24v plug wired instead of taking up an outlet.
