I have 4 Dalmatian Mollys, 3 females and one male. I had one female and one male. The female was being harassed so I separated her until I upgraded from 10 to 20 gallon. I went to the store and got two females and they are all in the new tank. The male keeps chasing the original female and not the two others? Is that because he chose her for now? I thought males would spread their genes as much as they could but he’s not interested in the new females. Opinions?

I would remove the original female to a breeder box for now, once his attention is more divided and she’s recovered then release her. If it continues confine the male for a while and see if it helps. At the very least this will give everyone time to recover. May need a few more females and another male to kick him around a bit. Mollies are horrible with eachother
