So picked this guy up at RAP yesterday and once I added him to the tank I could see some damage to his oral disk & tentacles(some filaments coming out). Honestly looks like he got smooshed between two rocks or something during transport. My main question is how bad does this look to any of you rock flower experts? From what I’ve heard they are pretty resilient little guys, but If it needs to be treated I do have cipro on hand. Let me know what you think.

I’m a little late to reply, but your flower looks like it will be just fine. Sometimes they can get pinched, or even stung and lose part of their tentacles. It’ll be alright, just feed it some aminos or some meaty food to help it bounce back quickly!

Here is a picture of one of my RFAs that has refused to move after a hammer declared war. He’s been going at it for months and the RFA is still alive and kicking just fine despite losing tentacles on half his disk!

+1 Leave it be, it looks just fine. They are very hardy as far as nems go and as long as the foot isnt damaged they can just about survive even the disk being cut in half, no joke.

Wow! Guess they are tough little guys! This is my first time keeping them so wasn’t sure what to expect. I’ve got a mini maxi that’s pretty much bulletproof so looks like these are too lol

For RFA,s good water, no peppermint shrimp under any circumstances, and some food and they will literally live forever.
