Bimac Anthias. Noticed the bottom part of her tail missing. Assumed it got damaged. Then today, I noticed more damage. Not sure what it could be and see no aggression from other fish. No crabs (other than blue legs) or anything else with pinchers. Just peppermint, cleaner and blood shrimp. Any ideas? See photos

What other fish are in the tank?
I see a clown in the back waiting to strike…
You don’t always have to see fish fighting for aggression to be there, often times it happens at night.

This is no doubt aggression.
What you listed are not typical candidates however do two things:
Visit tank at night or when dark for at least 2 hours with a flashlight and see if anything emerges such as worm or mantis shrimp

OR …..

Set your cell phone on video mode for a couple of hours and walk away. Come back and review the video and see if you have spotted a culprit
