I found some of this all over the bottom of one of my candy cane colonies and assumed it was brown jelly or something similar. And the pictures are from a friend's tank where he said he started finding this on some of his corals after getting a frag from me months ago. The patch you see is where he used to have some mushrooms before they all died off, and he said he's found it on and underneath a number of his coral as they were dying or after they perished. I've only noticed it on the candy cane after taking some frags from him, and after physically removing as much as I could, dipping it in both a dip solution and freshwater, re glueing it so it gets better flow underneath, and about a week of time passing it looks to be pretty much gone and my candy cane is recovering. Does anyone know whatt this stuff is or how to deal with it? It's got a very spongy texture to it
