i dont understand i thought it was the spectrapur rodi nope the crtridges are new.. phos is .1.. but why do i get greeen on the glass.. i have an acua c ev which is pulling a lot of green, and i also have a phosbhan reactor.. help me out here plzz

Can you describe the algae a little better or post pics? What are you params at?

ph 8.3 0 nitrates its like green hair algae..
i wouldnt mind if it was coraline algae.
i thought it might of been purple up promoting this so i stoppd using it

How old is the system? Algae is a common part of starting a new system up and will eventually pass as it goes through its various stages. I think in the first 6 months or more of my present systems life I went through every type of nuisance algae there is, bubble, hair, red slime, bryopsis you name it.

purple up doesn't cause algea blooms, it's pre balanced carbonate and calcium, the algea is from insufficient nutrient export, do you have a sump with bio-balls to start the system? Lots of live rock (aragonite)? Chaeto or other plant that will compete for nutrients? A worth while skimmer? Do you feed every day? There are a few ideas but with out knowing more about your system and mainenance habits I am in the dark.

ok the tank has been up for about 4 months... about 150 lbs of live rock in main tank, its a 72g tank. ther is a a sump no bioballs, just a sock. a acau c ev skimmer inside sump, a phosban reactor in sump.. ther is a tee in the return pipe, some of the water goes into refugium (made from a cooler) some of the water goes bck into main tank.
ther is a little bit of rocks in refugium, mud, chaeto and caulerpa

phyto? i wouldnt mind if it was coraline when do you i think i will start seeing coraline on glass and not phyto

nothing i can do about it?
i mean yea its a reef store, but their glass looks so so clean

Reef stores usually clean the glass every day. Get a magfloat if the only spots are on the glass.

another question is i see the back of the tank coverd in coraline... if this does occur in my tank (probably cnat be said) will i still get the green back ther

One type of 'green' algae that you will see on your tank IS coralline algae. Don't clean it for a few days, and watch it turn into coralline.

Coraline? It normally starts green then will change to purple. The way to tell if it is coraline growing, is it hard? Can you just wipe it off with a finger? If you can wipe it off with your finger it is not coraline, plus coraline normally is a round dot when it starts growing.
