So I have a 20 long with plenty of sand that previously has only had a pair of whitetail damsels in it. However, a week and a half ago, I added a YWG/tiger pistol pair. I wasn’t sure how this would work, but four employees at my LFS, including the owner, assured me it would be fine. One damsel could care less about the addition. My other damsel, George, who is crazy, has it out for both of them. This damsel, who has been waging war on an Emerald crab for the past five months, has tried to run the goby right out the top of the tank and has tried to bite the shrimp. The pair has a burrow and comes out to eat, but George won’t let either member of the pair stay out for more than two minutes. Any ways I can calm him down? Or does somebody need to get removed?

Wait! What you can do is put a mirror, just tape it to the glass, for a week or so. The damsel will be too busy attacking the reflection to bother with the others, and should all but forget about it. This worked for my six line wrasse, another aggressive fish. Not saying it is a hundred percent fail safe plan, but worth a shot

Thanks for the suggestion, but I am long past this issue now.
